Less is more when it comes to cookware, tools, and kitchen appliances. I'm sharing what I use every day (or weekly) and it's not all that much. Wondering what's NOT worth it to buy? I've got that too!
Love your list, Averie! Looking at the “not so essential” gadgets in your photo, I actually do not own any of them except the Vitamix blender. I love my Vitamix but wish I used it more. And I totally agree that an All Clad skillet and a Le Creuset Dutch oven are must haves!
Great minds think alike. I wish I used my Vitamix more too. There was a time in life I did, but that time is not right now haha! Also you don't like ice and I want more LOL
First, let me say how much I love your apple and carrot cake recipe. I actually got my sons to eat 🥕 and 🍎. Second, I tried my hand at vegetable gardening and food blogging back in 2012 in a 1050 square foot apartment. YOU make an art of it. Thank you for your content. I follow it and appreciate 🙏 💯 what you do!! Congratulations!
Thank you so much for the lovely comment and for making my recipes and enjoying my content. Truly, I appreciate hearing this! 🙏🏻 And for the great compliment that I make an art of blogging - thank you!! People who have never blogged have no idea what it all entails, there are so many things people just would not know, but it sounds like you DO know, which is why your comment is even more valued and precious! 🙌🏻😊
1. Microwave - I use it every day. Great time saver.
2. Instant Pot - I use it almost every day. Boiled eggs in 5 minutes that peel easily. Dump meals! Yes!
3. Stand Mixer - I do a lot of baking and a hand mixer isn't strong enough. I do have one that I don't use.
4. Paring knives, bread knife, sharp 8" knife.
5. HOT PADS! I hang them from my cabinet handles so they are always in reach.
6. 10" Green Pan frying pan - cooks evenly and cleans easily.
7. Kennmore Dishwasher - mine hasn't been working for 2 weeks and I hate scrubbing dishes by hand!
8. Emeril saucepan set - My Rachael Ray set peeled & I tossed them.
9. Samsung Refrigerator - ice maker choice of cubes or crushed ice and cold water in the door.
10. Gas Stove - Original to the house built in the 1960's. Missing knobs & oven is a little "off".
Most impressive is that you’re using a stove that’s 65 ish years old and it’s still working! They don’t build things today like that! Great list!
